Pico Gold

I can't believe it's done! I finished Wednesday night, but the bind-off was too tight. I used a needle two sizes bigger to bind off, but that just wasn't enough. So out it came. I was determined that this would be something I could really use. I switched to size 8 needles (from size 5) and knit for two rows, then bound off with size 9. Then I put a crochet edging on the hem. I did a single row of crochet on the armholes and neckline. I ironed it and steam blocked it. Done! and Done! Stats: KAL for the Sexy Knitters Club Picovoli by Grumperina Size 5 Denise and Addi Turbo needles 6 1/2 balls Elann's Luna in Coppered Sienna Modifications: More decrease rows, crochet around edges. This pattern is easy to follow, although a beginner might need to learn some new techniques. The shaping is awesome. I love how this fits. The stitches are not neat and tidy, it has tons of flaws. The thing I really like about it is that I made it to wear under a rather dowdy cardigan and it is very sexy in contrast. For some strange reason I like wearing clothes that look very "teacherly." And it's even better if I'm wearing something very "unteacherly" under them. It amuses me -- kind of like my tatoos. People are usually surprised to find out that I have some.
