Hearts and Challenges
| I am knitting along on Picovoli and have reached the armholes where I must cast off and then cast on. This is quite a challenge for me, so I am taking my time. When I get past it, I'll post a progress picture. And in the spirit of challenge... I finished my latest dishcloth KAL. No, it wasn't really challenging, but it was fun. Except...I had an error that bugged me several rows down. I noticed it after I did the bind off. Well, at our LYS on SnB night, fellow-knitter Tosh, had encouraged me to reach down into a column to fix a stitch. The very thought of dropping a stitch on purpose brings images of total froggings, but in the spirit of challenge... ![]() I fixed it! Some of the stitches probably twisted or got a bit wonky, but the offending stitch was fixed. I was quite pleased with myself. Thanks, Tosh! I have another heart cloth to report. My dishcloth exchange pal, Deborah C. from Fort Worth, Texas, sent me a wonderful four-square heart. I love how it turned out. She has only been knitting since November and she is doing great work already! She also sent some lavendar facial and lemongrass bath soaps, which I can't wait to try. She made a very cute card, too. She really took time to make a special package for me. Thanks so much, Deborah! ![]() I bought a book and a magazine of greeting card designs a couple months ago and finally took time to make a special card for my secret pal. I really enjoyed it. My LYS, which is half scrapbooking shop and half yarn shop, has classes in making cards and one of these days I will have time to attend. I also got a box of yarn in the mail, but it has secret pal yarn and prize yarn for Caps for a Cure so I will share some of that later. Have a lovely knitty Monday! |

Glad I could help. Sometimes we just need a little push to take that leap huh? It happens to me too. J is usually the one who makes me take the leap.
Congrats on your fixing.
