A Fresh Start!

Asking my blogger friends for help was the best thing I could have done! First, Tiffany encouraged finishing what was on my needles. Well....that set the ball a-rolling! I finished the second wristwarmer to give to my mom. I frogged the half-dishcloth after too many errors. I decided not to make the gloves for now. I enjoyed making the one I did, but considered it a practice glove. That brings me up to date, but it didn't end there. I cleaned my house, packed up the holiday decorations, moved some furniture that needed it and organized my new knitting areas. And! I made plans and decisions. I feel like I have a brand new start! Thanks Tiff!

Mar was sure that socks were the answer and Ang W. suggested the Six Sox KAL, so I joined that group. I will start with the next month's pattern so I have time to make a Tychus hat for Valentine's Day. Thanks, Shari and Helen for encouraging me to knit for my Sweetie. I'll use the hat for a portable knit project. Next portable project will be the Noro bag, which Debi and a few others enthusiastically endorsed.

My dishcloth of the month will be done in the morning either while reading online or while riding my exercise bike. That leaves evenings for the Picovoli tank and Mrs. B's wristwarmers.

Angelic, Shannon, and Mandy liked Kate the cat. I might start a small KAL to make that in mid-March, with the idea of finishing it for Easter. I really want to make some baby clothes for Nessie's avatar baby, but I have nine months to get that done. Whit, Anne, Shari, and Ang gave great reasons for having several projects going. I appreciate all the enthusiasm. It is contagious!

So you can see that there is no clear winner here. A drawing is in order! I will put numbers in the hat and have my dear Valentine draw out the lucky winner. That will give me a chance to fit the prize to the winner, too. :)

A huge thank you HUG to all of you for helping me make a fresh start! I will announce the winner in my next post, which should be tomorrow before midnight. I'll leave you with a couple pics of Midnight Madness on Friday where several knitters come together once a month at my LYS. It certainly lived up to the Madness tag this time!
OH NO, KNOTS!

Have a great day!
