Will Work for Yarn
| My son came over the other day sporting a cardboard sign. Ya know, like the ones the down-and-out hold up on the side of the freeway. Only this one said, "Get a Job." His friend had made it, thinking it would be funny to flash it at the panhandlers he passed. Fortunately, they did not do that. Instead, my son kindly brought it to flash at me, since I am currently unemployed, by choice. We laughed. Well, this morning I am going for a job interview. No, my son did not guilt me into seeking a job. :) It is just a job I would like to have, so I threw my name in the hat. The people-who-care want someone who speaks Spanish, which I am learning to do, but my Spanish is, how do you say it? Miedra...o...chin. See what I mean? Can't even pull out a decent cuss word when I need it. No es importa. On we go. Why am I sharing this on my knitting blog??? This is just to say... I will update the blog later today or in the bright-and-early tomorrow. I had an exciting knitty-weekend I want to share. Until then, I leave you with this... An online South Florida newspaper, BonitaNews.com, has a hilarious article posted Nov. 2nd by Vicki Crawford, a yarn addict who is down on her luck. It's called Obsession and it is hilarious. |
