Felted FOs
Fuzzy Feet are felted and drying. I like how they turned out, except how they got so tiny. No matter, I know a little girl who will really love these puppies.![]() This was great practice for the next sock duo. These mini-Fuzzies were made with Highland Wool from Elann.com. I used size 10.5 Denise circs with a 10.0 tip on the end that doesn't matter. The black strip is Cascade 220, which did not felt as fast as the Highland. Need to keep that in mind for future reference. I am really enjoying seeing everyone else's Fuzzies over at the Fuzzy Feet along. Anmiryam has her Feet on display at Gromit Knits and boy, are they fuzzy! Pretty, too! Oh, and what's that pretty pink stripey thing drying next to my Little Feet? (Not to be confused with Little Feat the band, which is most popular around here. Anyone heard of them? Hoy! Hoy! My old man is a fan.) Okay, back to knitting. . . that beautiful bag is yet another -- is that four?? -- of my mom's felted bags. I wonder if ... since I keep felting them for her ... maybe I will get a percentage?? One bag out of ten. Sounds like a plan. Especially since there are no bags of my making popping out of the woodwork. I am making progress on the Mitred Bag. Working hard at getting the gauge right, cuz I do want the back to match the front, size-wise. I was working on the November dishcloth KAL. Lost a stitch but kept on going. When I had lost 4 stitches I decided to frog it. Just when I start getting mighty proud of my knitting ability, thinking maybe, just maybe, I can think about not calling myself a beginner anymore, I leap into the frog pond once again. All this "practicing" will surely lead to proficiency -- or maybe just keep my hands busy for a good long while. Happy Knitty Weekend! I'm off to the bar to listen to my man's music, and maybe slip in a little knitting in the back of a dark bar! ![]() |

post a commentToo bad they came out too small. It's a good thing these are so quick -- it's easy enough to make another pair. What a lucky little girl!
There so cute! I like the colors! They knit up so fast are you going to make a pair for yourself? Your moms bag is great.
