Sheep on the Needles

My first Stitch-n-Bitch gave me a finished practice cloth for the dishcloth exchange. Can't show it yet...but here it is with the monthly KAL cloth. I just love dishcloths. They love to be FOs. My lovely Mum, who said she wasn't coming to SnB, was waiting in the parking lot. Actually, she was fixing a mistake in a sock in the car so she wouldn't do more bitchin' than stitchin' inside. She's an experienced knitter (bless her for all the help she gives me) so she finished up the corrected sock in our 2 hours. Here it is on my foot, but it went home with her, even though I let her know she should be making socks for beloved daughter, not self. The socks are in worsted weight for practice in making socks on 2 circs. Regular sock yarn is in the mail along with a couple sizes of Addi Turbos in very tiny sizes. Wednesday I was feeling dizzy (for no known reason and fine today, go figure) so I started a no-brainer. This is the Lion Brand Spiral Scarf pattern done in Crstal Palace "Poof" which I think is discontinued. It is like knitting a whole sheep but covers all mistakes admirably. You can see that I am still in my frog pajamas, which were not removed until evening when I had to go to a meeting. Anyone read Half Asleep in Frog Pajamas by my favorite author Tom Robbins? I think he wrote that book just for me. :) Here's the fleece up close. Here's a Poof hat I made for hubby last year. Who knows why it has a nipple? He even wears it. The scarf sheep should be done tonight. I'll work on the final exchange dishcloth next. Then I really need to make some socks ... but really WANT to start a felted bag. Any guesses of whether "want to" or "need to" will win out? Ha. Knitting away in frog pajamas, Becky

I love the frog pajamas!!! And isn't knitting with your mom the best? I think I'll have my pop take a picture of mom & I knitting next time... I treasure those times with her.

I got that glass head in San Francisco many years ago. It has come in very handy.

I love knitting with my mom, too.

Just FYI - I recently met with my Crystal Palace rep and POOF is definitely not discontinued. :) Isn't it so soft and fluffy?

Becky said ... (5:11 PM) :

Thanks Audrey! I need to get some more of that soft stuff.
