Pesto and Spirals

Yesterday I finished the Almost Newsboy cap. It did not work out well, so I felted it. That did not fix it, so it is scrap. I'm going to try a different design. Cuz I like to torture myself like that. While I was contemplating what to do next surfing blogville, I sent my DH a cute cartoon.
He was in the next room on his computer, so we had a little email chat. Is that weird? Here's how it went.
DH: Just what exactly is the definition of "out of control"?
Me: When the yarn won't fit in one room, stacked neatly from ceiling to floor, filling the room. :)
DH: Does that mean that at that point you can no longer "control" the aforementioned yarn?
When I saw that little froggy cat, I fell off my chair laughing . . . He is the a surfing genius, able to find anything worth finding on the world -wide. He found that cat at .
And isn't it great that he is so tolerant of yarn collecting? We are going today to get something for a new project. Cuz that is the root of the problem right now, the only other projects I have going are my dishcloth and a spiral scarf I started with chenille. Chenille. Caron's Cozi. Isn't it lovely? I hate it. It is no fun at all to knit. But . . . it's to match my mom's birthday hat, so I struggle through a row or two a day. And the birthday hat? Well . . . Mom stopped by the other day, as she does occasionally to use the facilities while running errands in town. There was no hiding the hat that was drying on the glass head. She had seen the yarn in my basket, conspicuously unmentioned. When I gave it to her, she said, "This can be my birthday present." I said, "It is." So I thought a nice scarf to match might be a small surprise. How much I hate this pattern with this yarn is the surprise!
Oh, and speaking of cats, I tried out a name tag on our wild rescued kitty. She does not think she belongs to me. She's the Pesto in the title.
And with that, I'm off to find wool. Felty wool. Wool to make a bag, which has been on the Wanna-Do list for too long. Maybe Pesto will eat the Spiral Scarf while I'm out. :) Happy Weekend Knitting! Becky

I love the photos! Too cute! I don't think it is weird to have email chats with your DH in the next room. It happens a lot in my house DH will be in the basment and I am upstairs! Have fun shopping!!

How fun to know of that chat thing. It is not strange in my opinion either. And those pics are lovely. So humorous. Just keep knitting.
