Late Night Knitting

Knitting in a bar? Yep. The band played and I worked on the Mitred Bag. I tried to hunker near a wall inconspicuosly. Three women admired my work throughout the night. One said, "You're my kind of woman." She meant the knitting. I know that because her husband was right there with her. And my knitting didn't scare away a young, buff guy who asked me to dance. He was very drunk.
And my wonderful musician hubby? He rewarded me for staying up late for his gig by taking me to the yarn shop the next day. His idea. "Do you need any yarn, Honey?" Uh, was I supposed to say no?

And those pointy sticks are my short needles for making dishcloths. They are oh, so smooth! Lantern Moon size 7. The tan and cream yarn is for Dad's Socks. The rest is Cascade 220 for felting. Luscious colors. And the shop has a ball winder. Lucky me!

The bar knitting was challenging.

I changed colors on the wrong row, but felting should blend it in all right. The first Fuzzy Foot rounded the corner of the heel turn, then hit the frog pond. Begin again.
The rest of the weekend was spent dancing, dressing up, and big-time socializing. It's amazing how much knitting can be squeezed into the tinest opportunities.

Keep that wonderful husband - mine doesn't even ask about my "stash". But yours even took you to the store!! Wow. Aren't they great? The colors you chose are wonderful. Sue

Your Mitred Stripes Tote is looking good -- will you keep us at Yarn posted on your progress? There's going to be a reader's gallery and if you send us a picture of the FO, you might get published!

I must agree with Sue. And I must agree with you. It is amazing how much you get done...when the circumstances are right. I mean...you may get many cm's done when you are visiting. And so on. You are one lucky lady.
