Knitting is my Passion

I got a new perspective on my knitting over at Nessie Noodle's blog today. I decided that my knitting is a positive thing. I decided to call it my passion. That's a good thing, right? And passion is the only way to explain why several women would come together once a month at our LYS for an evening called Midnight Madness. From 6 pm to midnight there is knitting and scrapbooking and lots of chatting. Oh, and some pizza, too. Now that's a passion! There were a few brand-new knitters in attendance who were learning lots of the kinks of the sport. I loved it when one of them was explaining what she had done and said, "Here is where 2 stitches were sucked up," which, of course is k2tog. From now on I will suck up my stitches whenever I decrease. Half a second sock jumped onto my needles. I'm chomping at the bit to get to the next pair. I hope to have 2 pairs done for Socktoberfest. The mystery project is coming along nicely. In fact...I not only went to Midnight Madness, I knit most of the day before going. Now that is a very fine passion.
