Bobbles and the Willy Warmer
Bobbles was a fun, and very different, project. Since my dishcloth exchange partner has received her cloth, I can share it here now. Bobbles is a lamb. It took me 3 tries to feel comfortable with it and then I like the first one best.
I did it again in purple.
The bobbles made me feel like I had permission to make big mistakes in my knitting. It was rather liberating.
The Mystery Project is almost completed. Just needs felting. I hope it works! Second sock is ready to have the heel done, but that takes concentration, so it is on hold for a quiter time.
Doesn't it sound like I need another project on the needles? I finally put up the Works in Progress percent markers to keep track. I still need a FO link...another day. (Oops...Newsboy Cap...let's not talk about that right now, Okay?) So... time for a felted bag. I'm thinking of doing a flat rather square one. It's the red one in the 220 Small Felted Bags pattern pdf file at Cascade Yarns.
I found an interesting site for free patterns. I'm considering the March project called Spring Basket. Okay, while you are there, looking at the Spring Basket, check out the February Bonus Project! I could not believe this one! It is just what it says... a Willy Warmer. I'm thinking someone had too much knitting time on their hands. Of course, the Willy Warmer does match the February Thong, which I thought sure was a flip flop embellishment. No, it's really a thong in racy red! The patterns are offered without commentary, but I am here laughing it up. Hope you enjoy them as much as I did. Ummm...they are not currently on my to-do list, in case anyone is wondering.
I just joined a Bag Along, so I will probably wait and see what enticing patterns are being knit over there. Everyone have a knitty day. I am off to clean and organize my spaces. And felt the Mystery Project. :) |

My dear husband just informed me that he will not be modeling the Willy Warmer. I wasn't planning to make one, but I guess it's good to establish your limits in a relationship right up front. Ha!
The hat is so nice.. I LOVE the colors...
