I have this awful shopping habit. . . but it saves a lot of money. I shop online, filling my cart with lovely items -- then skip the checkout part. I can't imagine going to a real-world store, filling up my basket and then leaving the store without purchasing anything. I do the same with catalogs, picking everything I want and sometimes filling out the order form, but not "consumating" the purchase.
Well, when I went to Knit Picks I picked out some great colors of Wool of the Andes. I thought I bought it but was never sent an email confirmation. After 2 weeks I figured I had done another shop-and-run. So I went to the LYS and got some Cascade 220 -- very yummy yarn.
Of course, you know what happened! Yesterday the WOA came in the mail. It is beautiful! I used it in sock class to make my sample sock and I immediately cast on a hat to felt with two of the colors. (Update to come later.)
After finishing my shawl and 2 dishcloths, I found that there were NO unfinished projects on my needles! I was stalled in deciding what to do next -- the wish list is endless and I hesitated to jump into one project and not be able to do another. The WOA solved that problem! Tomorrow I will work on a WIP section to keep track of the projects I've started.
Have a day full of fiber thoughts! |

How beautiful yarn! And thank you for your message to my email. It was one fun thing to read. Honestly. And that illusion knitting...Oh boy. I *envy* your great knitting skills. I can reveal you a little secret. I know the technique of cables, but I have never used it! I just knit plain things. It is more of my style.
